Webhooks & Zapier

Connect SteadyOps to everything else you use.

SteadyOps Webhook Gateway sends real-time events to Zapier, Make, or any custom webhook. Connect your business to 5,000+ apps automatically.

The old way vs the SteadyOps way

The old way

You copy data between SteadyOps and your other tools manually. New lead? Copy to spreadsheet. Invoice paid? Update your accounting. It's tedious and error-prone.

The SteadyOps way

SteadyOps fires real-time webhooks for every business event. Connect to Zapier or build custom integrations — no copying, no delays, no missed data.

How it works

Get started in minutes

01

Set up your webhook destinations

Add a Zapier trigger URL, a Make (Integromat) webhook, or any custom endpoint. SteadyOps sends JSON payloads to your destinations in real time.

02

Choose which events to send

Select the events you care about: new lead created, deal closed, invoice paid, appointment booked, review received, or any of 50+ event types. Use wildcard filters to match event patterns.

03

Events fire automatically

When the event happens in SteadyOps, a webhook fires within seconds. The payload includes all relevant data — contact info, deal details, invoice amounts, timestamps, and metadata.

04

Monitor and debug with delivery logs

Every webhook delivery is logged with status code, response time, and payload. See which events succeeded, which failed, and retry failed deliveries with one click.

Key capabilities

Event filtering with wildcards

Subscribe to specific events or use wildcards: 'invoice.*' catches all invoice events (created, sent, paid, overdue). Fine-grained control over what triggers your integrations.

HMAC-SHA256 request signing

Every webhook payload is signed with a shared secret using HMAC-SHA256. Verify the signature on your end to ensure the request came from SteadyOps and was not tampered with.

Retry with exponential backoff

If a delivery fails (non-2xx response), SteadyOps retries with exponential backoff — 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours. Failed deliveries are retried up to 8 times.

Delivery logs and debugging

Full logs for every webhook delivery: timestamp, event type, payload, response status, and response time. Filter by status, event type, or date range for easy debugging.

Test events

Send test events to your endpoint before going live. Verify your integration works correctly without waiting for a real event to occur.

Auto-disable on repeated failure

If a webhook endpoint fails consistently (10+ consecutive failures), it is automatically disabled and you are notified. Prevents silent data loss and runaway retries.

Real-world scenario

See it in action

Consulting Firm (solo consultant)

The scenario

A consultant connects SteadyOps to Zapier with two triggers: (1) when a new lead is created, add a row to a Google Sheet and send a Slack notification, and (2) when an invoice is paid, create an entry in QuickBooks Online and send a thank-you email via Mailchimp.

The result

New leads appear in the Google Sheet within seconds. Paid invoices sync to QuickBooks automatically. The consultant stops copying data between apps and saves 5 hours per week. Every integration runs in the background with zero manual effort.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

Not for Zapier or Make integrations — those are no-code. For custom webhook endpoints, you will need a developer to build the receiving server. SteadyOps provides detailed API documentation and example code.

How many webhook endpoints can I add?

Up to 10 webhook endpoints on the Growth plan and unlimited on the Pro plan. Each endpoint can subscribe to different event types.

What events are available?

Over 50 event types across all SteadyOps products: contact.created, deal.closed, invoice.paid, appointment.booked, review.received, and many more. See the full event catalog in the developer docs.

Is there a Zapier app for SteadyOps?

Yes. SteadyOps has a native Zapier app with pre-built triggers and actions. Search for 'SteadyOps' in the Zapier app directory to get started in minutes.
